Every Adventure Starts With A Journey

Our adventures often start with a 36,000ft journey across the sky, yet this part is often overlooked. Travelling – whether for 2 hours or 20 hours – can be an equally enjoyable part of your trip, as well as luxurious and doing so in a premium cabin not only provides an elevated experience in the air, but can allow you to arrive at your destination feeling well-rested, ready to take on the day. Let’s take a look at some of the options that are available to upgrade your journey.

Premium Economy

The next step-up from Economy and often reasonably priced, you’ll find Premium Economy, offering plusher, more spacious seats and often a better food & drink service, too. Whilst there aren’t too many additional benefits on the ground, these upgrades during your flight certainly make a difference. Commonly available on medium to long-haul flights to a range of destinations, depending on the carrier you’re travelling with.

Honesty is the best policy; we’ll tell you if we think the upgrade is worthwhile based on the price versus the journey, and we’ll tell you if we think a particular airline provides a better experience than another. Virgin Atlantic offer a fantastic product to the majority of their destinations, but we’re really excited about Emirates’ new Premium Economy cabin – which rivals some Business Class products – gradually being rolled-out to more of their fleet. You can currently experience this cabin on select flights between London & Dubai.

BUSINESS CLASS

By far the most popular upgrade is Business Class, as this offers many enhancements over flying in Economy; priority check-in lanes await so you can skip the queues, a hefty luggage allowance, expedited security screenings and of course, lounge access – a relaxing haven away from the bustle with food, bar service & comfortable places to work, relax or even sleep.

Onboard, you’ll be greeted by a dedicated cabin with much larger seats, often able to be converted into a lie-flat position, perfect for getting some proper sleep. Top tip; ask the crew for a mattress pad to make it extra comfy! Hungry? There’s usually a delicious meal service of 3 to 5 courses to enjoy, a large selection from the bar and snacks throughout if you get peckish. Extra touches including pillows and amenity kits add to the comfort & luxury you expect when travelling in Business Class. Simply speak with our travel experts to discuss your upgrade.

FIRST CLASS

You’re officially entering the big leagues now – First Class is an experience many only dream of, with champagne & caviar at every turn, private suites & showers in the sky and a door-to-door service often included as a standard. Only a select few airlines offer a First Class cabin so when they do, you can expect it to be extra special, but you can also expect it to come with a price tag. Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa or British Airways? You decide.

Expect everything you’d enjoy in Business Class, and more. Chauffeur driven from your home to the airport; entirely private terminals with fine-dining restaurants, spas, gyms, beds & workspaces available; escorted on foot or by car from the lounge to the gate, and often to your First Class seat onboard – the entire experience oozes luxury & elegance at every step of your journey. Our travel experts are always happy to discuss what upgrade opportunities may be available for your flight to truly enhance your adventure.
